AmeriCo Energy Resources, LLC, as an oil and gas exploration and production company, is involved in acquiring, operating, and developing oil and gas properties. AmeriCo has used its geosciences, engineering, and management skills to increase production, control costs, and become a higher-margin producer.
Since its formation in 1998, Americo has successfully operated an ever-increasing number of oil and gas properties with a net cash flow that has more than doubled each year, exceeding all growth expectations.
AmeriCo currently has thirty employees, operating in Texas and New Mexico, with a gross production of approximately 1300 barrels of equivalent oil per day (BOEPD). AmeriCo has focused its strategy on producing oil, which now accounts for 90% of the company’s production.
AmeriCo has successfully worked over problem wells, activated non-producing assets, acquired seismic, drilled new wells, and performed surface facilities enhancement programs that have included the construction of new gas-gathering pipelines, surface equipment, and operational services for fields of varying sizes.
The experienced staff of AmeriCo is dedicated to applying sound geological, engineering, technical, economic, and management skills to identify, acquire, and develop oil and gas properties on large-scale domestic and international projects.

Principals
Eddie Tajvari, Ph. D.
President Dr. Eddie Tajvari, a partner and one of the three founders, complements the team with over twenty years of experience in engineering and management skills in large domestic and international projects. Dr. Tajvari earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. His extensive experience in managing multi-million dollar international projects for various large corporations brings to AmeriCo a unique perspective in management of projects of any size. Dr. Tajvari has been managing AmeriCo since 1998 as President and the Chairman of the Board of Directors. His responsibilities as manager and owner have been instrumental in the significant growth and financial health of AmeriCo.
Asghar (Oscar) Nosrati, B.S., M.S., P.E.
VP Acquisition and Divestitures Mr. Nosrati is VP of Acquisition and Divestiture function at AmeriCo. He is a partner and one of the three founders, brings to AmeriCo over 22 years of experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, and environmental projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering. He is also a registered professional engineer in several states. Mr. Nosrati has held several key positions with various large companies. His past experience includes construction and construction management of high-pressure pipelines, compressor stations, petrochemical plants, and refineries, clean-up of hazardous wastes and contaminated sludge. Mr. Nosrati is a member of the Board of Directors and the Management Team of the company. His diversified background has been invaluable to AmeriCo in its evaluation of new projects for acquisition and field operation.
Mossy Alavi, B.S., M.S.
VP Finance Mr. Mossy Alavi, a partner and one of the three founders, brings to AmeriCo over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur and a successful businessman. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering. His past experience includes managing and operating import and export of heavy equipment, and several successful business ventures in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Alavi has been managing the finances and the administration of AmeriCo since 1998 and has been a member of the Board of Directors and the Management Team of the company. His strong business management skills have been an asset for AmeriCo’s daily functions.
Ghasem Bayat, Ph. D.
VP Exploration and Engineering Dr. Ghasem Bayat is a partner and the VP for Exploration and Engineering at AmeriCo. He brings 35 years of diverse oil and gas exploration and production experience with major E&P companies to AmeriCo. Dr. Bayat holds B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Petroleum Engineering and has worked in many oil and gas regions around the world including the Gulf of Mexico, Texas, Alaska, the North Sea, the Persian Gulf, the Middle East and South America since 1971. His expertise in production operations, engineering support to exploration, reservoir and production engineering and technical and economic evaluation of oil and gas properties has been very beneficial to AmeriCo’s success. Dr. Bayat brings world-class technical specialization in oil and gas field development, well completion, artificial lift design and optimization, reservoir evaluation, and the management of water flood and other improved recovery processes to AmeriCo.
